Swimming lessons for Rangitikei 4-year-olds will extend to Taihape as West End Aquatics (WEA) take over the running of the Taihape Swim Centre.
The Rangitikei District Council has awarded the contract to run the Taihape facility to WEA, the same company which took over the council-owned Marton Swim Centre five years ago.
The Taihape pool has been run by the Taihape Community Development Trust.

West End Aquatics' Trevor Nicholls said he wanted to employ staff for the swim centre locally.
