Whanganui-born musician Joshua Hill is bringing his Palmerston North band Dick Tracy to his home town for the release of their debut album.
Dick Tracy will release their self-titled album on May 12 on all digital platforms and play it in its entirety at Lucky Bar + Kitchen that evening.
The album follows their 2016 EP and was recorded at Creative Sounds in Palmerston North.
Dick Tracy chose to launch in Whanganui because of its growing musical scene and because it's Hill's birthplace.
"I always enjoy going to shows in Whanganui as it's the perfect mix of good people who are out to have fun," he said.
