Elvin Bishop's Big Fun Trio
Something Smells Funky 'Round Here
Alligator

Elvin Bishop has been around the blues and rock worlds for well over five decades, having started his career as a founding member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

Along the way he's ducked and dived around a variety of genres, including the rock hit Fooled Around and Fell in Love.

Together with Bob Welsh and Willy Jordan, they formed the trio in 2015, and their good-times sound has drawn a big following.

Something Smells Funky 'Round Here is their third album and they've become even more adventurous, creating their own versions of familiar tunes like (Your love lifted me) Higher & Higher, and I Can't Stand the Rain, as well as rustling up blues classics like My Soul, and for good measure their own material in the title track Something Smells Funky 'Round Here.

At 75, Bishop is very much a seasoned and multi-talented musician and his Big Fun Trio knows how to deliver on the promise their name suggests.
