As part of the Whanganui Regional Museum earthquake strengthening and refurbishment project, the public car park on Watt Street behind the museum, is closed until further
notice while work is undertaken on the roof.
The 18 car parking spaces which are permanently leased in the car park will be retained and
the
people who use lease the parks have been notified.
There will be signs in the car park indicating that the public parking area is closed.
Parking in Watt Street is available for $1.00 per hour and other free and non-time limited parking in the area is available in Pukenamu Drive.
The Alexander Heritage and Research Library also has P60 parking spaces available.
