Richie Dibben will race in Newcastle this weekend.
Whanganui's motorcycle standout Richie Dibben will be racing this weekend at the 4th Newcastle International Supermoto event near Nobbys Beach in New South Wales.
Dibben, the reigning Suzuki Series supermoto champion, travelled to Australia with father Chris Dibben and will be competing on a borrow bike, with expat Kiwi JeffCrawley helping them out.
A combination of road and dirt racing, the event brings together around 100 riders, many of them champions in various motorcycle disciplines.
Saturday is the Australian Supermoto Championships, with Sunday the Oceania Supermoto Championships. Both are decided by accumulated points over three races.
A 'Race of Champions' will also be held on both days.
