Ceramic artist Elise Bishop has a mini-exhibition entitled Work in Process at Edith Gallery, 24 Taupo Quay, from Monday, June 11 to Saturday, June 16.
She will be showing a selection of pieces from her latest firing, fresh from the kiln, as well as some work-in-the-making: raw, unfired clay vesselsin various states of construction.
Elise lives and works on Aotea (Great Barrier Island), where she makes mostly teaware, and is the current artist-in-residence at 85 Glasgow Street. As part of her residency, she will give a public talk on Saturday, June 23 at 1pm at Rayner Brothers Gallery, 85 Glasgow St.
Opening hours for Work in Process are Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 10am to midday.
