The Klara Kollectiv Manu Berkeljon (violin), Anna McGregor (clarinet) and Taru Kurki (piano).

Chamber Music Wanganui will be hosting the musical trio known as The Klara Kollektiv.

Anna McGregor is associate principal clarinettist with Wermland Opera, Manu Berkeljon is the associate principal second violinist with DalaSinfoniettan, and Taru Kurki is the head of piano at the Musikkonservatoreit Falun.

In Swedish, the term "Klara" means to clarify. Established in 2016, The Klara Kollektiv is an exciting new ensemble dedicated to shining a light on new repertoire as well as sharing familiar favourites.

The three Swedish-based musicians are returning home to perform for a programme of atmospheric New Zealand and European works.

Music by Lilburn and Anthony Ritchie sit alongside a Romance by Sibelius, the colourful, gypsy rhapsodies of Khachaturian's youthful Trio and the Hungarian Dances of Bartok's Contrasts.
