Marton company Speirs Foods wins best new product at Outstanding Food Producers Awards

Spiralised vegetable noodles have won the best new product award at the Outstanding New Zealand Food Producers Awards.

Marton company Speirs Foods' The Whole Mix noodles added to its gold and two silver medals for the range, taking home the FMCG Business Outstanding New Product Award.

"Winning this award is a great tribute to everyone at Speirs Foods," marketing manager Belinda Bonnor said.

"It's been a real team effort to create the first fresh spiralised vegetable noodles in New Zealand and to get them in supermarkets throughout the country."

There were 186 entries in the awards. Speirs earlier won a gold medal for its zucchini noodles and silver medals for its butternut and medley noodles.
