Food, clothes, toys crafts and second-hand goods were up for grabs at a market at Springvale playcentre on Fox Road on Sunday.
Organiser Wen Xiong said the market, known as the Family Market on Fox Road, was a fundraiser for the playcentre and all stallholders paid a small fee fortheir spot.
"This is our first market, and we're planning to hold them every month," Ms Xiong said.
Among the stallholders was Noeline Price, who was selling her hand-made earrings and scarves to raise money for typhoon victims in the Philippines. "I've done a variety of fundraisers, and this just seems such a desperate situation in the Philippines at the moment," Ms Price said.
The family market will be held every third Sundayfrom 10am to 1pm. Stall hire is $10. Contact Wen Xiong at wenxiong627@gmail.com
