A Manawatū couple who won a wedding and honeymoon package had just four weeks to prepare before the big day.

Francis Leppard and Aydan Palmer were married during the Marton Harvest Fair on March 31, a hot afternoon when Marton Park was full of people, stalls and activities.

They had entered and won Project Marton's Elope to the Country competition, and had previously been in a relationship for five years.

Suits, dresses, flowers, ring, ceremony, reception and a six-night honeymoon with accommodation and activities were all provided for them.

"We are so overwhelmed. Thanks so much to all the vendors and those involved in organising our special day, we are so grateful," the bride said.

The two enjoy the outdoors and share a passion for motocross. Palmer is especially looking forward to horseriding at River Valley Lodge during their honeymoon, while is wife is keen for the river rafting at Tarata Fishaway Lodge.
