Man arrested after allegedly making 'intimate recording' at the Splash Centre.

A 32-year-old man has appeared in the Whanganui District Court after being arrested and charged with making an "intimate visual recording" at the Splash Centre.

Police were called to the swimming complex about 2.15pm on Tuesday where they arrested the man.

Police would make no further comment because the matter was before the courts.

Splash Centre manager Dave Campbell did not want to talk about what had happened.

A woman who alerted Splash Centre staff said there was a scuffle as the man was held until police arrived.
