Everyone wins when we truly listen to Conversations.
Conversations the Game will be part of La Fiesta for the first time this year. Conversations happen every day, and this game creates a new level of connection, thinking and understanding. Experience an evening of Conversations on March 7 at the Ladies Rest
Building, 6.30 pm, $10 entry.
Developed in Australia, the game is a refreshing change from our fast-paced world of communications, working out the next best twitter to post or commenting with a thumbs up on social media. With facilitator Caroline Welkin you can experience real thinking and connection by joining this remarkable Conversations.
There is no limit to the topics of conversations that can come from this game. Magic just happens. Conversations has an uncanny, almost magical way of providing participants with exactly what they need at that time.
Developed by speaker and educator, Barry Auchettl from Australia, the game Conversations evolved from a dream where the world was a place where people came together and really talked about what was happening and what inspired them, and shared their vision.
Caroline Welkin has been working as facilitator with this game since 2006, when she first met Barry Auchettl and experienced the game for herself.
"I think that's how many of the games facilitators began!" she says. "I have since seen this game in action with business groups, community groups and people who have never met before. I love the way that it brings out our real connections and commonalities as well as a new way to think, prompted by the beautiful cards it uses. I've seen new friendships forged, ideas fostered and problems resolved."
Caroline is excited to bring Conversations to La Fiesta. "It's a chance to relax, listen and think deeper than you may give yourself the chance to in everyday life. Everyone gets a chance to really converse with this game's guidance."
Caroline Welkin has been teaching skills for presence and connection since she was five. Conversations Facilitation was a natural addition to these skills to bring people together in a way that brings them personal connection and be really present with themselves and others in a relaxed environment. "I use encouragement with no judgement. I show people how to shine at the front of the room. This game also fosters encouragement with support. It makes people shine on the inside."
Find out more about Caroline Welkin at www.standanddeliver.guru. Caroline has been training for more than 10 years in the corporate world, performed in and around New Zealand's capital Wellington for many years as well as guest appearances here and abroad.
