The NZ Heartland XV will kick off their 2017 Jock Hobbs Memorial Under 19 tournament against Auckland Development in Taupo tomorrow at 2.15pm.

In the squad are Whanganui's Dylan Bowater, Hamish Bennett, Dylan Gallien, Chris Breur, Harry Symes and Gordon Coogan.

WRFU's Justin Lock is the assistant coach.

They will compete in the second tier Michael Jones trophy competition, with another game on Wednesday and their final game next Saturday.

The other teams in their group are Northland, Taranaki, Counties Manukau, Hawke's Bay, Otago and Southland.
