Police are investigating an illegally parked truck as the cause of a two-car crash Tuesday, at 12.50pm on Taupo Quay in Whanganui.
Police constable Nick Martell said a car transporter truck was illegally parked on the river-side of Taupo Quay when a female driver pulled out in front of
the truck and was hit by a vehicle heading south.
"The truck could be a potential cause of the crash due to the obstructing view so there was difficulty to give way and we are looking into that being a contributing factor," Mr Martell said.
He said two people were involved, the female driver and a male driver heading south, but luckily no one was hurt.
"A part from a big fright neither of them were injured but both cars were written off."
