Whanganui travel consultant Leanne Comrie is thrilled with her win in the Helloworld national awards.
Comrie, who is the manager at Helloworld Wanganui and has been in the travel industry for more than 20 years, received the award for sales performance for the period July 1, 2017 to June 30,2018. The award was presented by Helloworld management and entertainers Jono and Ben at Helloworld's gala awards event in Wellington.
"It was awesome," Comrie said.
"I've won awards before but not for a long time and not at that level."
Comrie's past year's sales were benchmarked against Helloworld's 70 independently-owned branches nationwide.
Helloworld Wanganui owners Paul and Sue Robinson said they were proud to have Comrie as part of the team and the award was testament to her professionalism and continued focus on her clients.
"It's fantastic that Leanne's efforts are rewarded. There are some amazing journeys out there for people to see and we are continually excited to be part of the process."
