The 74 Hawera businesses vying for honours in this year's Bizlink Business Awards have been named.

Bizlink chairman Gerard Langford said 96 Hawera businesses were nominated for the awards and after the first round of judging the list had been whittled down to 74.

"These 74 include a broad mix of Hawera businesses covering the retail, trade, professional, hospitality and tourism sectors," said Langford.

"The next phase will see these businesses 'mystery shopped' by representatives from the independent Mystery Shop Network NZ," he said.

Langford also announced the winners of three $100 gift vouchers open to all those who nominated a business for the awards.
