The mention of hunting, heifers and honey conjures up thoughts of a workplace adventure playground where income streams can be simply plucked from the air.

The aptly-named Goldenview is a 264.2-hectare property in the heart of the picturesque Parapara Valley ideal for hunters, beekeepers or firt farm buyers.

Nestled in the hills 30km north of Whanganui and 50km south of Raetihi with direct boundary acces to SH4 (Parapara Highway), the block is an outstanding opportunity to mix fun with income and ample scope for growth.

Fallow deer, pigs and goats roam freely making this propertty a hunting paradise with well-maintained farm tracks leading directly to an enchanting bushman's hunting cabin.

"Approximately 50-55ha is in grass, well-fenced and capable of creating a small but active farm." Bayleys marketing agent Knud Bukholt said.

Goldenview is currently utilised a a dairy heifer grazing and sheep breeding unit.

Additional income streams have come from hunting, horse trekking and the honey sector with numerous bee sites across the property. Approximately 160ha of pinus radiata was planted in 2013 in conjunction with Horizons with the balance made up of manuka and native bush.

"Picture this - driving into the Paraparas and venturing 3km off the main road on a well-formed farm track, arriving at an authentic bushman's cabin, lighting the fire, cooking a stew, pouring a whiskey and spinning a yarn. Then, at the crack of dawn arising for a genuine New Zealand pig or deer hunt. If that is what you are seeking as a real get-away weekend, then Goldenview has to be seriously considered," Bukholt said.

"Over and above the fun aspects this property presents, there are multiple genuine income strings with honey undoubtedly being the shining star. The property currently contains numerous hive sites situated at various points across the block.

"If the 50-55ha of remaining grassland was to be planted in manuka, then the potential for honey income should increase exponentially."

Offers close on Goldenview at 2pm on Thursday, December 6 unless sold prior.
