Frocks On Bikes is back!
The ever-popular Frocks On Bikes returns as part of this year's La Fiesta festival programme. Its focus is to bring some glamour back to cycling. Frocks On Bikes is a dashing reminder that riding a bicycle isn't just lycra-clad riders determined to win the race. Fancy
frocks and pearls are welcome, as are dapper suits and bow ties. It is a wonderful opportunity for friends and family to dust off their best wheels and get dressed up for a mystery ride around town.
Festival organiser and Frocks On Bikes activity co-ordinator Carla Donson says that this year's ride features a special tribute to previous organiser and glam rider Judith Timpany who passed away unexpectedly last month.
"Judith played such an important role in supporting La Fiesta and took great delight in organising Frocks On Bikes each year. Her enthusiasm and mischievousness will be very much missed," she said. "Judith was also known and loved by many in our community through her various development roles, and Frocks On Bikes provides folk with a chance to honour her life and legacy in the spirit with which Judith approached her many ventures."
