The rally was a "poker run", meaning each participant started with two cards and picked a one at each of the three stops to form a poker hand.
At each stop people would get questions to answer, with prizes for the best answers and poker hand afterwards.
Stops along the rally were Upokongaro, Castlecliff Beach and Virginia Lake, with the Dublin St Bridge roundabout as the return point.
Mr Hardy said cars would be sent off in different directions.
"The cars are going to be all around town passing each other," Mr Hardy said.
The Daffodil Rally is expected to become an annual event.
