Three people, including two children, were transported to Whanganui Hospital following a crash on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were alerted to the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Victoria Ave and Glasgow St around 7.35pm.

Two lanes were blocked for a time while police dealt with the incident.

A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances were sent to the scene and transported two people with moderate injuries, and one person with minor injuries to hospital.
