Rescue helicopter meets ambulance to transfer elderly patient in Taihape.
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Taihape Aerodrome at 6pm on Wednesday to meet an ambulance carrying a man in his 80's who had suffered a serious medical event which required urgent medical treatment.
He was treated at the scene by the onboard paramedic and transported to PalmerstonNorth Hospital for further assessment.
