Candidates for the September 23 general election have been finalised.

In Whanganui, the candidates are Alan Davidson (ACT), Harete Hipango (National), Steph Lewis (Labour), Nicola Patrick (Greens) and Reginald Skipworth (NZ First).

The Rangitikei electorate candidates are Cedric Backhouse (Conservative), Robin McCandless (Green), Ian McKelvie (National), Rob Stevenson (NZ First), Heather Warren (Labour) and Neil Wilson (ACT).

The Te Te Hauauru candidates are Jack McDonald (Greens), Adrian Rurawhe (Labour), Howie Tamati (Maori Party) and Wikitoria Waitai-Rapana (Independent).
