St Johns Tech's import Akash Gill finished his Under 19 World Cup campaign with Canada with a 138 run loss to Zimbabwe in Rangiora on Sunday in the playoff for 11th.
Zimbabwe reached 272-8, with Gill taking 1-51 from his ten overs.
Canada was then bowled out for 134 inthe 38th over, despite Gill top-scoring with 60 from 63 balls.
Gill still had a strong tournament personally, highlighted by his superb 120 against Papua New Guinea on January 22.
In total, the 18-year-old scored 254 runs and took 12 wickets in his six world cup games.
