Crash closes highway near Whanganui

Save A crash between a truck and a ute near Whanganui about 6pm Tuesday is thought to have caused serious injuries, police have said.
Diversions were in place after the collision at the intersection of State Highway 3 and Rapanui Rd north-west of the city.
Traffic was being diverted off the
highway at Blueskin Road to the north, and Montgomery Road to the south of the crash scene.
Police said more information would be released when it was available.
