Covid-19 Omicron update: 72 new community cases in Whanganui region

There were 72 new community cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

One person was in Whanganui Hospital with Covid-19.

Nationally, the ministry reported 5549 new community cases of Covid-19.

Throughout the country, there were 383 people in hospital with Covid-19.

The ministry said 11 more people had died with Covid-19.
