It's official.

The sign has gone up on the amalgamated Wanganui Returned and Services Association (RSA) and Wanganui Cosmopolitan Club - Club Metro.

The two clubs amalgamated this year and now both operate out of what was the Cosmopolitan Club building on Ridgway St.

Out of 126 submissions it was Bob Stanley's name suggestion which was chosen but the RSA and Cosmopolitan Club brands continue to exist under Club Metro.

A memorandum of understanding between the clubs was signed by the presidents and vice-presidents in July after the membership of both the RSA and Cossie clubs voted for the amalgamation in May.
