Bargains in boot
Turakina School is holding a car boot sale this Saturday. The cost for a car boot or stall site is $5. There will be food for sale and a coffee cart on site. The sale starts at 9am, 72-74 State Highway 3.

Assault admitted
A man pleaded guilty to
a charge of male assaults female in Whanganui District Court on Tuesday. Jahvarn Vaughn Iremonger will appear for sentencing on December 18.

Held in custody
Owen James Heke appeared in court on Tuesday facing 10 charges. They are driving while disqualified, procuring or possessing methamphetamine, contravening a protection order, common assault, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failing to stop for police, failing to remain stopped for an enforcement officer and resisting police. Heke was remanded in custody until November 27.
