The River City Boxing Club members who hope to get matched for a bout at the club's fight night on November 10.

At least 30 bouts have been confirmed for the River City Boxing Club's fight night on November 10, which will serve as a warmup to a big opportunity for a couple of their best students.

Trainer Eddie Tofa said North Island Golden Gloves champion Egelani Taito and promising teenager Jesse Malcolm have been offered the chance box with members of the Samoan national team on November 24.

"I'm going to make them work a bit harder," he said.

Tofa has arranged fights for eight members of his club so far for the fight night next Saturday, and would also like Taito to take on at least an exhibition bout.

"It's up to him."

The 26-year-old has been hurting from his stoppage defeat to double Commonwealth Games gold medallist David Nyika at the Boxing NZ 2018 National Championships in Christchurch earlier this month.

While Taito will be clear to compete on November 10, having completed the mandatory 28 day stand down period, the loss was a tough pill to swallow and Tofa has been working to rebuild his fighter's confidence.

Having held this big amateur boxing events since 2016 at their home in the gym at the Kaierau Country Club, Tofa is expecting another big turnout with the thirty fights confirmed.

"That's quite a bit. There's about 25 different clubs that are coming.

"It's a good headache to have."
