The River City Boxing Club will host its second major tournament for 2017 next Saturday, August 19.

It will be the third tournament the club has put on since October after it moved into the new training facility at the Kaierau Country Club earlier that year.

At least eight club members will be available to box on the night.

The last card in March featured 16 bouts, headlined by Steelform Wanganui prop Viki Tofa, who outpointed Upper Hutt's Cory Enoka.

Other club fighters to do well that night were Egelani Taito and Jesse Malcolm, who would both go on to win North Island Golden Gloves Championships in Taupo in early June.
