It was on for boys and girls at Jubilee Stadium on Saturday as the West Coast Bombers hosted a successful All Day Derby.
The Bombers would win both of the senior bouts under their club banner, as their regular women's team hammered the Kapiti Coast Derby Collective 238-50 in the
opening morning matchup.
In the mid-afternoon, the Bombers Co-ed team of men and women defeated their Hellmilton Co-ed counterparts 154-138.
The historic regional men's bout, a first in this country, produced a minor upset as No City Skaters (lower North Island) surprised the Northern Gentlemen (upper North Island) 207-116.
The other women's bout was Stealth Bombers, the West Coast club's junior team, taking on Taupo's Huka Dolls, and winning 195-136.
