Wanganui Ucol graphic design students, lecturers and graduates won five Telecommunications Users' Association of New Zealand (Tuanz) (e)-vision awards at a ceremony held in Wellington. Six other projects involving Wanganui Ucol students and lecturers were short-listed.
Fifteen students involved with Inside 5 were finalists for the entertainment/news media category for
their collection of interactive, video and animation work. Graduate Ann-Ni Chee won the student category for her work Design Playground.
She is in Malaysia at present.
Lecturer Simon Laing said Ms Chee's interactive work was part of her degree.
The work was three-dimensional graphic illustrations.
Student Nic Vanderschantz said the awards showed the school was one of excellence and students were getting recognition for their work.
