As we celebrate all the things that make Wanganui a great place to live, we invite people to participate in a questionnaire.

Name: Lorraine Dixon

Lived here: 40 years

What attracted me here: Teaching job opportunity.

City's unsung hero: Shona Buchanan. She's such a caring, thoughtful person and is always there when you need her.

What I like most about living here: The people. I think that we are a friendly city and I think that our mayor is doing a great job.

One thing I would like to change about Wanganui for the better: For the city to attract new businesses which in turn would keep our young people here.

What makes Wanganui great? Join the celebration, share your views and nominate worthy story subjects. Post a comment on our Facebook page, email editor@wanganuichronicle.co.nz (subject line: Celebrating Wanganui) or post to Celebrating Wanganui, Editorial, Wanganui Chronicle, PO Box 433, Wanganui.
