A Wanganui man who died on January 8 in Brisbane has been described as "a courageous Kiwi dad".
And now his relations are looking for assistance to help put their family back together.
Aaron Andrews suffered from a congenital heart defect, which led to a stroke last year. He wason the road to recovery but suffered another stroke, which ended his life.
Mr Andrews, 37, leaves behind his wife Carla and two children, Chloe, 4, and Liam, 2.
He was a motorbike fanatic and a member of the Triumph Motorcycle Club of New Zealand. When his body arrived in Wellington last Wednesday, he was accompanied on the trip to his hometown of Wanganui by 50 motorbikes. His family planned for his pride and joy, a 1970 Triumph Bonneville, to be flown from Brisbane to accompany him to his final resting place at Aramoho .
Mr Andrews attended Wanganui Boys' College. He moved to Brisbane in 2008 and worked at the BG Group.
His cousin Melissa Maguire has set up a page on the givealittle website for people to make donations to help Carla and his two children rebuild their lives. So far it has reached $5000. If you would like to donate, visit https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/aaronandrews#
