Marc Peard and Laura McGoldrick bring insightful behind the scenes stories of sports stars.

ANZ Sports Scene look back at the incredible week of sport.

Sports Scene is NZME's new sports show hosted by Laura McGoldrick and Marc Peard.

The duo will be bringing in-depth and light-hearted takes on the New Zealand sporting landscape.

Sports Scene has a little something for everyone. The show is not just about the big sporting events, it also goes behind the scenes to find out what makes athletes tick.

On this weekend edition of the show, Marc is joined by NZ Herald sports writer Chris Rattue.

The pair discuss the big sports stories of the week, including the Black Caps' loss to Pakistan and Portia Woodman's criticism of NZ Rugby.

Meanwhile, Laura was away with the Black Caps and talked to coach Mike Hesson about what it takes to have such an awesome team.

"You can't have a good team unless you have good players, I think that's fair," Hesson tells McGoldrick.
