Sarah Bolland has expanded her driving instructor's business into Wanganui.
Until now, Ms Bolland has operated MDT Driver Training in Levin but, with her family moving to Wanganui, she is branching out.
"I'll maintain the school in Levin two days a week, but the rest of my time will bein Wanganui," she said.
She has been an instructor for 15 years and covers every sort of motor vehicle licence, including cars, heavy traffic, passenger and motorcycles.
Among the list of skills she brings is as a qualified StreetTalk defensive driving tutor and she will be the only one providing that course in Wanganui.
The Street Talk defensive driving course is approved by the NZ Transport Agency and teaches driving safety skills, helping drivers develop advanced driving skills, better control, hazard identification, the ability to make the right decisions and manage risk and prepares drivers for the restricted and full licence tests.
And the name MDT? The acronym stands for Mana-whenua Driving Training.
There's another reason for her move to the River City - she is an artist in her spare time and she said she also wanted to move here because of the city's strong arts heritage. She can be contacted at 027 368 5010.
