A woman upset about text messages her boyfriend had sent shunted his car into house.

Jennifer Hazel Whareaorere appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday and admitted driving her car into her boyfriend's car, pushing it into his house.

Whareaorere's car broke down a short time after leaving the scene of the crime, police prosecutor Sergeant Drew Morrison said.

Whareaorere told p[olice she was angry at the victim because of a text message he had sent.

She pleaded guilty to wilful damage and driving while suspended.

Judge Philip Crayton remanded her to October 28 for sentencing.
