Snow, ice, white-garbed mountain peaks and winter sports and games are part of the Winter Exhibition on now at Wanganui Arts Society's Cooks Gallery.
The society's Rob Davies says the paintings are on show until the end of June. "It's winter, let's celebrate," he says, pointing out how every picture hasa wintry theme. The exhibition displays a variety of work from local artists and includes one of the London Street Games series by John Singleton. One wall features work by 93-year-old Dawn McCormick. Dawn is active in the society and still paints.
The exhibition is free and is open most days including Saturday at the gallery near the velodrome. Entrance is between Holdaways and Wanganui Motors in Ridgway St.
