The spectacular maize maze at Whenuakura is up for business for its second year.
And two fright nights are planned.
Whenuakura School board chairman Andrew Hurley said the once-empty paddock next to the school was transformed into the maze with the essential help of sponsors.
"We are very grateful to our sponsors. It means we can run the maize ever year.
"The maze has a made such a difference to the school funds. We were even able to buy uniforms for every child this year."
There are 49 children at the school, which is near Patea.
Two fright nights for adults only were planned for Friday March 31 and Saturday April 1.
"It's great fun" said Mr Hurley.
"A group of us dress up with plenty of blood and gruesome scenes.
"People love it."
Sponsors for the maize are L and R Freight, Waverley Harvesting, Farmlands Co-operative, Riverlea Contractors Limited, Ravensdown, Stihl Shop, Silver Fern Farms, Tom Andrews Contracting Limited, Peko Contracting, Ballance Fertiliser and Rex and Shirley Knight.
