Thor 2: The Dark World is a strong follow up to the first.

Thor 2: The Dark World is a strong follow up to the first.

The Marvel comics production line rolls on with Thor back protecting the world from powerful forces from another world.

With his trusty hammer at his side, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is forced to use all his powers and bravery to keep Earth and the other eight realms free from tyranny.

Thor is a particularly likeable action man who is more superhero and defender of his people than heir to the throne of Asgard. Thor 2: The Dark World brings him back into the world of his one love, human Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).

When Jane accidentally becomes the vessel transporting a powerful force, The Aether, Thor must save her from danger.

The Aether is an energy that could bring darkness to the Nine Realms if it is released.

The evil Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) has made it his life's mission to capture The Aether and destroy Asgard and the rest of the worlds.

When he reappears on the scene after centuries of dormancy, Thor knows it will take more than his super powers to defeat this enemy.
