Grover, Percy and Annabeth (Brandon T. Jackson, Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario).

Grover, Percy and Annabeth (Brandon T. Jackson, Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario).

What wonderful entertainment for teens. There's nothing like a good fantasy adventure with wholesome characters fighting the good fight.

Following 2010's Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, this story has Percy (Logan Lerman), the son of Poseidon, embarking on a dangerous mission to save his camp.

Percy is seeking the mythical Golden Fleece to help the save the tree that provides the safety shield around Camp Half-Blood.

The Golden Fleece should be able to heal the tree and bring safety again to his people.

But Percy is not the only half-blood after the Golden Fleece - camp traitor Luke (Jake Abel) wants it to resurrect Titan lord Kronos.

With Luke's powers and resources he will be difficult to defeat.

Lying in their way is the Sea of Monsters, a mythical Bermuda Triangle where people go but never return.

Joining Percy on his mission are Grover (Brandon T Jackson), Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), Percy's half-brother Tyson (Douglas Smith) and Percy's half-blood camp rival Clarisse (Leven Rambin).

Annabeth calls for the Chariot of Damnation, an ancient transport in the form a taxi, driven by The Gray Sisters, to take them to Luke's father, who they hope can help them on their way.

They discover the Golden Fleece is on an island, the ruins of Circeland, an amusement park ruined by Polyphemus, the guardian of the fleece.

Percy, Annabeth, Tyson and Clarisse get into the Plummet of Death ride that penetrates deeper in a cave taking them straight to Polyphemus' lair.

Not only must they overcome Polyphemus, they find Luke has also discovered the fleece's whereabouts.

Their fate and that of the world rests in keeping the fleece out of Luke's hands.

This was my first adventure with Percy and his friends but it was so enthralling I'll be back for more.
