If you're slowly coming around to the idea of prints, there is no shortage at the moment.

If you're slowly coming around to the idea of prints, there is no shortage at the moment.

Somewhere over the past few months, prints have wormed their way into my wardrobe.

I've always been more into block colours or big bold patterns. But somehow, I've acquired a range of items covered in intricate patterns - some verging on something you might find in a Magic Eye book.

And they're not just in sensible places like on blouses. I'm also wearing printed pants - going against every rule that says you must never draw attention to your least favourite bits with eye-catching fabrics.

If you're slowly coming around to the idea of prints, too, there is no shortage at the moment. There are diamond-print blazers and matching capris to wear to work, pretty printed sundresses, lots of Batik-inspired harem pants that are perfect for lounging around the house, and even accessories.

Although this trend seems to break a lot of the golden rules for flattering dressing, I suggest sticking with one: If you're going crazy with patterns on one half of your body, keep the other half relatively plain. Unless you're a model in a lookbook - they seem to be able to get away with anything this summer.
