Penny before, left, and after a Gorgeous Me makeover.

Penny before, left, and after a Gorgeous Me makeover.

What a difference colour can make.

Knowing what colours work for you and which don't is one of the most important aspects of good styling. The right colour can enhance your best features and make you healthy and fabulous, whereas the wrong colour can make you look tired, sick or even older!

I'm not just talking about clothes here either. I see a lot of women with hair colour, be it natural or dyed, which simply does not suit them. Take these two lovelies at right, former Gorgeous Me makeover models. Both have fair skin and overall light colouring, which combined with their chosen hair and clothes, washed them out.

In both cases, by changing their hair colour and the colours of their clothes to suit their natural colouring, they came to life. In particular, their eyes absolutely popped - friends and strangers would suddenly comment on their "amazing" peepers!

Work out your colours, either yourself by experimenting with shades up under your face, or by getting a professional to work them out for you.
