Some colours are guaranteed mood-lifters and yellow has to be one of them.

I've seen some fabulous bright yellow items in shops lately that will provide an instant lift to any spring wardrobe. Whether it's a citrus dress for work or a lemon slip to give a dash of colour under a blazer with jeans, there are many ways to incorporate yellow into every day.

Choose from the palest pastel yellows, fluro neon hues or shades of yellow that are verging on mustard.

Some people are scared of being washed out by too much yellow but there will be a shade to suit everyone.

If you're really light-skinned, the more intense yellow shades will be more flattering.
