Corich graduated from the University of Canterbury with an MA in linguistics and summer work with IBM created an interest in computers.
However, she says that many of her ideas for business management came from experience gained while obtaining her private and commercial pilot licences.
She said aviation was a fantastic training hot house for many disciplines and three key aviation principles she transferred into her Sysdoc business were:
End-to-end process excellence.
Human factors gained from cockpit experience.
Simulator-based learning.
Sysdoc has developed more than 300 successful process improvement training projects - including 50 SAP training projects, and it has won a gold international award for its highly visual, process-led approach to systems documentation in the Sysdoc KnowledgeBase.
It has a track record of working with clients to successfully transform their business, and Sysdoc's practical and proven change management methodology ensures each client's staff members understand the need for change and adopt it rapidly.
The Sysdoc Online End-to-End Process Model enables organisations to display all their business processes in an intuitive, visually appealing web interface - which shows all of the players, tasks and hand-offs in a business process. Sysdoc process models enable businesses with complex value or supply chains to clearly see and understand all the relationships that exist between business groups and external parties. The net result of implementing the Sysdoc Online End-to-End Process Model is improved business performance though UFB enabled:
Design of an online business process model.
Development of online content.
Support and maintenance of online content or skills transfer to staff members.
For the past 25 years, Sysdoc has clearly demonstrated its ability to assist its clients to achieve:
Outstanding customer service.
Increased sales/transactions.
Reduced operational costs.
Effective outsourcing solutions.
With UFB fibre being deployed in Wanganui, why not take the opportunity to make contact with Sysdoc in Wellington or Auckland, and learn how its services and UFB availability could help your business to expand - not onlyhere but the UK, Australia and US.
Regular readers of this column will understand the writer is convinced that New Zealand's ever present "tall poppy disease" seriously inhibits:
Developers of fantastic products or services effectively publicising their success. How many of you had heard about "Xero", "Workflowmax", "Unleashed", "Vend", "Callplus", "Plan-b", "i Payroll", "Salesforce", "Spotlight Reporting", "Club Hub", "Debtor Daddy" and "Sysdoc" before they were described in this column?
The development of new innovative products and services - where two or more organisations with world-class expertise in different fields work together to create new "Third Wave" products or services. (Very often we don't even know anything about the next door organisation - except the name on their building.)
Luckily, the writer read of Katherine Corich's amazing Sysdoc organisation in the Summer 2011 issue of the University of Canterbury's Canterbury Magazine.
So play your part in helping to stamp out the "tall poppy disease".
