Shane Stone builds on solid success

One Wanganui building business that's doing just fine is Shane Stone Builders.
Office manager Tee-Jay Horrell said the company had grown from Mr Stone and one other when it started in 2008 to now having 14 staff.
It outgrew its Wilson St office, moved into Dublin St in November, and opened a showroom at No22 about two weeks ago.
The builders undertake all aspects of their trade, from new houses to shop fitouts, maintenance and alterations.
"It's not doom and gloom for us. We are busy," Mrs Horrell said.
Mr Stone is from Wanganui and trained and worked with Whyte & Williams for six years. He then went overseas and returned to start his own business three years ago.
