A Taranaki business establishing a permanent base in Wanganui offers a range of design and marketing services to its customers, co-owner Andrea Leadbetter says.
TGM Design moved from Opus House into permanent premises in St Hill St's Heritage House in October.
Some of its more creative ideas are using postcards for young
people to take away to university, using Facebook, using stickers and using direct mail.
Then there are the usual logo designs, websites, brochures, billboards and advertising templates.
TGM won the supreme business award in Taranaki in 2003, and Ms Leadbetter said she was attracted to Wanganui by the Lean group and "like-minded business leaders".
At present she and account manager Paula Barton service Wanganui clients for two or three days a week, but the company is hiring a full-time Wanganui designer next month.
TGM Design started in New Plymouth 21 years ago, added a Hawera office 10 years ago and came to Wanganui five years ago. There are now 16 staff in total and Ms Leadbetter aims to add an administrator and a team of Wanganui designers.
Staff have a wide range of expertise, which gives its customers a lot of branding and marketing possibilities. Staff give advice on all aspects of branding and marketing.
Mrs Barton has a background in public relations and media. Others specialise in advertising or graphics. Any can be called on by others.
Customers are mostly corporates and local authorities, but the company also works for some small and medium businesses. It aims to be a good Wanganui citizen, using local suppliers, offering work experience to design students, helping with the Young Enterprise Scheme and sponsoring scholarships and business awards.
