The Ambrosia Delicatessen in Wanganui's Ridgway St is in the process of expanding its store and adding some seating.
Co-owner Nevanah Turner said building work was going on to expand the store into the vacant shop next door. The space was previously used for the delicatessen's storage.
The work involvesremoving a load-bearing wall and while it's going on it has taken out some of the existing shop space.
A larger store will be useful for the delicatessen's expanding range of stock, Miss Turner said.
"There's always something fabulous out there that we think people would like."
