"No dog will be in a shared exercise area because I'll be exercising each dog independently to prevent dogs from fretting. We've got six acres here to exercise the dogs on and there's more land available if we need it."
An experienced groomer, Ms Jordan will also have a hydro bath on site.
"No matter the size of the dog, we'll board them all. And I'll also groom pitbulls."
She said she had never used boarding kennels in all the time she has owned dogs because she was never satisfied the animals were properly looked after.
"What we're doing here is creating the sort of environment that treats the dog as one of our family."
But there's another side of the business that she is keen to promote and certainly experienced enough to deliver. It's all about educating people how to behave around dogs.
Along with her big American bulldog Phoenix, Ms Jordan has been a familiar face at local schools, teaching children about dogs, their behaviour and how to behave around them. Now she will offer the same service to individuals and businesses.
"I'm mainly going for contractors, people like meter readers, health workers, posties, anyone who is going on to a property where they think a dog may be present. There's a huge need for it locally.
"But I've got the tools to teach people how to behave and handle a situation and help identify a property where they think a dog may be living."
In her work with council Ms Jordan said she never got bitten by a dog even if there had been "a few hairy moments".
"I put that down to the way I approached the dogs. But if I can pass that information on ... then I think I've achieved something."
Kelsview Kennels also provides a pick up and delivery service and has gift vouchers.
