Police would like to locate two people following the arrest of a man for serious offences in Whanganui.
On 15 April 2019 officers arrested a 30-year-old man who had been wanted by Police.
He appeared in court on 16 April charged with a range of offences including using a firearmagainst Police. The charge of using a firearm against Police arose during a fleeing driver incident on 27 March 2019.
The Police investigation continues and officers are following strong lines of enquiry to locate two other people involved in the fleeing driver incident.
Police are seeking sightings of a 2005 red or maroon coloured Mitsubishi Galant which was known to be in the Dublin Street and Wicksteed Street area on 27 March between approximately 11.15pm and 11.40pm.
The driver of the vehicle is described as a Maori male in his early to mid 20s with facial hair and wearing a green hunting top with a hood. The other person sought is believed to be a male.
