Police after two people and a red car

Police after two people and a red car

Police would like to locate two people following the arrest of a man for serious offences in Whanganui.

On 15 April 2019 officers arrested a 30-year-old man who had been wanted by Police.

He appeared in court on 16 April charged with a range of offences including using a firearm against Police. The charge of using a firearm against Police arose during a fleeing driver incident on 27 March 2019.

The Police investigation continues and officers are following strong lines of enquiry to locate two other people involved in the fleeing driver incident.

Police are seeking sightings of a 2005 red or maroon coloured Mitsubishi Galant which was known to be in the Dublin Street and Wicksteed Street area on 27 March between approximately 11.15pm and 11.40pm.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may know the identity of these people, or has any information that can help. They can contact Detective Carey Priest from Whanganui Police on 06 349 0612.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
