Marton Junction School students gave the volunteers in their district cupcakes and coffee sachets.

Marton Junction School students gave the volunteers in their district cupcakes and coffee sachets.

Two classes from Marton Junction School inspired by their teacher, Robina Gudopp, did the rounds of local volunteer organisations bearing gifts.

They handed out cupcakes, which they had iced themselves, and sachets of coffee.

Gudopp said the children had enjoyed driving around town in the school van with their gifts.

"I really like carrying treats for everyone,'' one girl said.

"We know that it was good for us to do this stuff,'' a small boy added.

Gudopp said everyone had enjoyed the experience and they would definitely be doing it again.

"Yay," shouted two small boys.
